"I am investigating the role of perineurial glia and Schwann cell- perineurial glial interactions during development and regeneration. For developmental studies, I am characterizing the phenotype of the perineurium in several mutant zebrafish where Schwann cell development is disrupted. For regenerational studies, I am designing a novel injury assay which will allow real-time visualization of glial behaviors following nerve transection."
